Cyclogest/progesterone for recurrent miscarriage

Hi there
I’m currently on cyclogest for recurrent miscarriage - my consultant has me taking them from day 21 of my cycle through to period due date each month
Anyone else doing similar, and if so, what date in cycle are you taking information? Reason I ask is that my periods seem to be shortening in length (to around 20 days ) which makes taking from day 21 impossible!
Until a few months ago they were always 28 days , I was super regular , but I have just turned 40 so I think this may be peri menopause & I just wondered if Starting cyclogest earlier in my cycle eg right after ovulation would help. I’d normally talk to my consultant about this, but she’s been redeployed to another service due to covid so I can access her right now....
