Incredibly itchy down there at the moment, it's starting to feel really sore! Havent got any bad smells or anything so i'm assuming thrush? I've never had it before so i'm unsure!
Would i be okay getting OTC medacine instead of finding a doctor? Thanks

OTC is fine as long as it's not the tablet. The cream and pessary are fine. (Been there, several times in my last pregnancy)

I had thrush at 30 weeks and it was unbearable! I called my GP and they sent a prescription for canestan pessary and cream directly to my local pharmacy for me.

Pharmacies generally won't give you certain medications (including canestan) without a prescription when you're pregnant so prob best to give your a doctor a call. They will prescribe it no problem for you.

I was given a double dose as apparently it can take longer to clear in pregnancy but i only needed the one so have the other in the drawer in case I need it again.

I was prescribed pessaries (again dr emailed direct to pharmacy) but they weren’t as strong as over counter ones and The course was 7 days instead of the one pessary. Cream was the same as over the counter though.

Thanks everyone, went to the pharmacy this morning and they just said phone your doctor! But i've so far rang 50+ times and each time it says unavailable! At this point i think i'm going to cause some serious damageGrin why do our pregnant bodies hate usConfused
