Washing baby clothes

What do you think about washing baby clothes?

On one hand I'm thinking that everything needs cleaning ready for baby.

On the other hand I'm thinking that if baby is big and the first size / newborn clothes are too small, then it is quite wasteful to take all the labels off and wash them (can't return / exchange etc).

Also, I feel like there are about a million things that need doing before baby arrives (I'm currently 37 weeks), how high I the priority list should washing new clothes be?

My dad worked as a clothing manufacturer, he made nightmare for companies like Mark's & Spencer's, BHS etc. When they were really busy, I used to go to the factory to help out so have seen the manufacturing process first hand. I would recommend washing the babies clothes before using them

When the time comes in a few weeks I'll be washing our babies things.
No shame on anyone who doesn't though!
I have super sensitive skin so I've always washed my own clothes before I wear them plus I just don't like the smell of new clothes 😂 would much prefer them to smell of our washing

I have washed everything, I did question if I should but then I thought with all the virus going on I would wash it all, but it completely up to the individual there is no do or don't what ever you feel
