12 Week scan nerves

Hi, I just need a little reassurance really. I am due my 12 week scan on Thursday (I will be 12 + 4) I have had 3 mmc in the past and although I have already had 3 scans in this pregnancy and all been fine and seen and heard heartbeat I'm still so nervous. I have felt great for the last week, all symptoms have gone. I think that's what's worrying me. It will be my first baby. Has anyone else had the same and feel great?

This is my first pregnancy so I don't have a lot of experience but I had horrendous symptoms up until just before 13 weeks too and then I felt amazing! I was super worried about the sudden change but my scan went very well. I'm sure yours will too and you'll be super relieved once you've had it xx

I had my scan on the 20th, I was dated to be 12+6 (although thought I was going to be 12+4). All of my morning sickness and symptoms had gone by then and felt great. This is my first too. I haven't had any MCs so I cant comment there and I am sure you are even more nervous than I was - and I was terrified!

They took my blood pressure after the scan and it was all normal but I suspect if they had taken it before the scan it would have been through the roof.

My scan went super smoothly - no problems found and got my combined NT/blood test results back a week later (low risk) despite the midwife warning me the labs could be slow and not to worry if it takes a month!

Good luck for Thursday!! I have mine tomorrow (I’ll be 13 weeks exactly) and I’m so anxious. I’m sure your lack of symptoms are nothing to worry about - I feel miles better too. Keep us posted x

Didn't want to read and run, good luck with your scan! I was so anxious before mine as I had no symptoms I was close to tears all day on the day of the scan with anticipation and everything was fine at the scan and I'm now 23 weeks!

My scan is tomorrow and I'm absolutely consumed by it. I'm 11+5 and the last couple of days I've felt really well too. Hopefully it's just because we're moving into the second trimester. Desperate for tomorrow morning!

@foreverbaffled I feel the same way about my DP not being allowed in. As much as I am desperate for the scan, I'm also dreading leaving him in the car. It's definitely adding to the anxiety. Hope all goes well for you too

Scan went fine! Baby looks perfect and no issues. We’re so pleased. Good luck again to everyone waiting. Can’t tell you what a weight off my shoulders it is.

Hi, my scan is on Thursday too and I am also very nervous! I have a wonderful son who is coming up to 4 but I've also had miscarriages in the past, although they haven't got this far, so it is really hard to be scanned once you've been through that I think. You've had a few scans already and you will get through this one. Sending you love and positive vibes x

@Jess1309 what time is yours on Thursday, mine is at 10.10am, I am praying everything will be ok as I feel so normal especially these last few days. My boobs only really feel tender on a night, apart from that I feel great

@Mir1234 that sounds good - enjoy the great feeling for as long as you can!! Mine is at 11am.

My scan went really well this morning! Baby looked well and was stretching and rolling around. So, so happy and relieved 🥰

Did you feel like before hand it was just a big dream until you saw your scan? I feel like that now, if that makes sense x

@mir1234 I definitely 'feel' pregnant now. I haven't put on any weight but after my scan I feel aware of the changes in my body. It absolutely feels real now. Good luck today I hope it goes well!! Xx

My 12 week scan is on the 15th. I'll be 11+3 and I am already thinking of the worst possible scenarios. I have never been this scared in my life. I had an early scan at 6 weeks and the saw the baby's heartbeat and all but I am still extremely scared. I feel like my breasts are deflating and my symptoms are going.

Sorry it's taken so long but wanted to let you know scan was perfect and baby is healthy and wouldn't stop wiggling about! I am 13 weeks tomorrow, this scan was the best one yet! So happy! Xx

@MahamChoudhury I was so nervous today and thought the worst as I haven't haven't had any symptoms but had the best news ever and you will too! It's so nerve racking but the best when you know everything is ok! I wish you the best of luck, please let me know how you get on xx

That’s so fab @Mir1234, wonderful news! I got my combined screening result today and seems fine so that’s another hurdle crossed.

Fantastic news OP! Isnt it lovely to finally see them and just watch them for a while?! Makes it a bit more real!
