Vaginal night time itching (not thrush)

Hey guys, looking for a bit of advice please.
I'm 9.5 weeks pregnant and for the past couple of nights, I've noticed my vagina gets really itchy. It's definitely not thrush (no discharge or swelling and I've had thrush before).
It's also higher up and more on the external vulva area. I swear it doesn't happen during the day but is really noticable at night.
Now, I've not been able to get a wax since lockdown so at first I thought it was just getting used to itchy regrowth (lol) but thinking now it might be something hormone / pregnancy related. And if so, is it something I should be worrying about?

Thanks in advance! Xx

Are you able to look and see if it's worms?

Tmi here but I'm usually very laid back with keeping trimmed. The only time I stay on top of it is during pregnancy because it's just so flipping itchy especially at night! Try shaving and see if it's better. Also check yourself out in a mirror, due to hormones it's a lot warmer and wetter down there so you may be developing a fungal infection/rash of some kind. If you do (like I did sorry for tmi again), make sure you really dry the area after bathing - lay naked on the bed for at least 10 minutes afterwards and air it out. And then apply metanium - yes nappy rash cream!! - it's what I had on hand from my son and it cleared up so quickly.

I've had a good look but definitely can't see anything. And are worms usually more round the bum? This is higher up the labia area.

@mschatterbox thank you, that's great advice. I'm a regular waxer so am already uncomfortable with the regrowth and may need to give into shaving!

I had this, in fact it was how I found out I was pregnant, I googled itchy pubes and it’s came up with itchy pubes pregnant 🤣
I found showering before bed and putting Aveeno cream on the pubic area really helped. It’s worth mentioning to your midwife especially if have other itching as there is a liver condition in pregnancy that can cause itching so they may want to do a blood test

@itsnoteasyfeelingqueasy - thank you so much! It's not glamorous at all, is it 🤣
