So my last period was 14th april. I had an early scan in which I thought I would of been 6 weeks at least.
The scan showed an sac and egg sack no sign of a baby. The dr said that i was only 5w so many days...is it normal not to see baby?? I'm having a free rescan in 2 weeks

So your only a few days behind so I wouldn't worry, it's normal to be off by a few days and baby soon catches up, your dating scan at 12 weeks is the most reliable scan. When I was PG with DS1 a private scan put me 13 days behind but by the time my dating scan came around he had caught up by 8 days, with this pregnancy I'm only behind by 3 days according to a private scan last week but even the sonographer said measurements are just a guesstimate at this stage as being under 12 weeks all baby's grow at different rates and most catch up by 12 weeks that's why at an early stage of pregnancy they are called "reassurance" scans because they aren't designed to tell you how far along you are and when your due they are there just to find the baby and find the heartbeat to reassure you that for now everything is fine.

Good luck at your next scan x
