Has anyone been told the sex at a 20 week scan at the L&D?

They give you a leaflet saying their policy is not to tell people, but I've heard anecdotally that some sonographers will tell you (but that was a year or two ago).

I can't stand not knowing so want to book a private scan if they really won't say.

When i had my scan earlier this year, they will not tell you the sex of th e baby.

As far as i know the only place that will is the BUPA hospital in Harpenden.

I'm assuming that you are talking about Luton and DUnstable Hopital.

I thought the new government guidance was that they had to tell you if you asked but that you would need to sign a disclaimer saying you accept there's a chance they could be wrong. Big posters on this at our hospital...

Yes, Luton and Dunstable. I was just being lazy.

Lots of places nearby will do it privately. St Albans (Verulam Clinic) is most convenient for me because they do it at weekends.
