What vitamins?

Hi

I've been taking Pregnacare conception and I've now found out I'm pregnant.

I used to take a Multivitamin (Feel brand) but I don't think I can take those anymore because they have Vitamin A in them. Is that right? I have a separate folic acid tablet I can take with them if they are ok.

I also use a vitamin D spray anyway because I'm pale and wear sunscreen a lot so likely to be deficient.

What vitamins if any did you take in pregnancy and is a standard multivitamin (even if it has vitamin A in it) ok?

Don’t take a standard multivitamin. You really need a folic acid and vit D one (not sure if the spray would have enough vit D). There’s a Wellman brand vitamin for pregnancy that you can take.

I just bought separate folic acid and vitamin D from Holland & Barrett.

I'm taking seven seas pregnancy vitamin, as well as extra vitamin D and higher folic acid recommended by my midwife

Just vitamin D (10ug I think although more commonly sold as 12) and folic acid. Definitely don't take a multivitamin with vitamin A.

I've been taking, and my midwife is perfectly happy with, ASDAs own brand pregnancy-specific multivitamin. I believe they are £6 for a 90 tablet pack which is very reasonable compared to branded ones like pregnacare and has exactly the same vitamins and minerals in

When I was pregnant I took baby aspirin, pregnancy vitamins and an extra dose of folate.
Folic acid is a synthetic version to folate
