Worried about weeks on CB digital...

Morning all. Looking for a bit of advice from you wise ladies. Got a BFP on a CB last Thursday which showed 1-2 weeks. Think this was correct as I had calculated I was 4 wks at this point.

Should be approximately 5 weeks today. Did another CB digital this morning (not FMU though) and it’s still showing 1-2 weeks. Should the weeks indicator have progressed to 2-3 weeks by now? Is this something to be worried about? Had a few mild cramps yesterday and a small amount of old brown blood but nothing that I thought was too concerning...

The digitals are pretty notorious for being inaccurate with weeks so I wouldn't read too much into them.
I didn't even bother testing again after 5 weeks but I had a friend who never got past 2-3 weeks despite testing every week and she's got a healthy 7 month old now.
They cause more stress than they're worth.

That is reassuring to hear, thank you.

I've had 5 pregnancies, my first pregnancy was with my daughter and the weeks indicator tests went all the way to 3+, second and third pregnancy were miscarriages that never went over 1-2 weeks, forth pregnancy i went to 3+ weeks but baby died at 9 and half weeks, currently in my fifth pregnancy, only 6 and half weeks atm but my first weeks test I did was 2-3, never got the 1-2 and then 4 days later it went to 3+

But I know they can be inaccurate- have you taken dye tests too? Are they getting darker?

Mine always said a couple of weeks behind what I was as well, I think I just don't tend to have very high hcg levels. 14 weeks now and no problems!

I have just taken a FRER... line def much darker than last weeks. Does this look a strong enough line for 5 weeks?
(Promise to step away from the tests now...)

Looks like a strong frer. I've been pregnant twice, have 2 healthy children and never seen a 3+ on a digital. I don't think the weeks indicator bit is particularly accurate.

@butwhiletheresmusicandlaughter this is mine at 5 weeks, yours looks good!

Sometimes it can be just on the cusp of changing and is also dependent on the strength of your urine. I’ve had a 2-3 weeks a week apart and then done one then next day and it’s gone to 3+

Sevo7 · 28/05/2020 20:32

Just for comparison to show how dark the line was on the day it turned from 1-2 to 2-3 with my last pregnancy, although my test is a dip test not a first response.

Step away from the tests!

butwhiletheresmusicandlaughter · 28/05/2020 20:41

Thanks all. I’m feeling somewhat reassured by the FRER. I am definitely going to step away from the tests now. The silly thing is, this is my fourth so you would think I would be a bit more chilled....it seems not!

Don't rely on these tests, they create more anxiety than their worth... x

Crazymummyto3 · 29/05/2020 02:13

I honestly wouldn't take too much notice of the weeks. I've done them with each pregnancy and inky ever got a 3+ on this pregnancy, but I have a 10, 7 and 2 year old and am currently 25+1!

howlatthetrees · 29/05/2020 02:22

The weeks are known for not being accurate, the FRER looks really positive!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 29/05/2020 02:29

The digital weeks are notoriously unreliable. Mine did turn 2-3 u Tim I was 6 weeks. I knew I was 6 weeks as it was an ivf pregnancy. He’s currently 7 weeks old now snoozing on me Smile good luck in your pregnancy
