Funeral attendance

A close friend of mine died last week. The funeral is planned for the 1st of June.
The family have invited me. Problem is I'll be 36 weeks pregnant & obviously taking into account coronavirus situation I know I shouldnt really be going.
It breaks my heart not being able to go. I feel like I'm letting them all down.

Please tell me it's the right thing me not going or would you if you were me?

Could you arrange a private viewing either before or after ceremony?

So sorry for your loss. I think you could go. Take hand sanitiser, wear a mask. Remain at least 2m away from people. Leave straight after the funeral. Change your clothes and shower once you get home.

We have just watched the funeral of a much loved family member on the crematorium's webcast. The family knew that we were there with them in every way except our physical presence. Could you ask if that is possible?

I was able to watch a funeral of a family member by video link a couple of weeks ago. Is it possible you could do the same thing? It’s not the same as being there but under the circumstances it’s a good second option and at some point in the future you can do something else as well.
