Bleeding during early pregnancy 😭

Hi everyone, first time posting. Hoping to get some advice. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding for the last 6 days it started off really light, only noticed when I wiped. I phoned the midwife and she said not to worry and to call her back if I started to see clots. It then got a little heavier but not as heavy as what my period usually is and I passed two 50p sized clots. So i phoned the midwife back and she told me again not to worry and to ring back if the bleeding got heavier. Which it hasn't it's gone back to being really light. I thought the midwife would have asked me come in and get a scan to see if I was miscarrying but she didnt. Which i don't know if that's the norm for something like this and she doesnt think I'm miscarrying or it's because of what is currently going on the world she maybe didnt want me to come in when I will be getting a scan in a month. Has anybody got a similar story? Am I having a miscarriage or does this sound normal ish?

A bleed doesn’t necessarily mean miscarriage..

I fell pregnant in early January and started to bleed at the mid/end of jan. I ended up in A+E due to pains in one side. This unfortunately lead to a Miscarriage which was confirmed by 2 scans at the epau. My hcg levels didn’t return to 0 for 2 weeks as my body retained the sac for 10 days.

I then fell pregnant literally straight after (and found out in late feb), at 8 weeks I experienced a bleed (about three weeks into lockdown). I rang my gp in tears as I had been trying to contact my midwife for over an hr and the phone was engaged. He sent me straight down to A+E where they got me in for a scan within an hr and the baby was fine. I’m now almost 18 weeks pregnant. If they do get you in for a scan, Be prepared for having to go into the hospital and scan alone though as very few hospitals are allowing partners into scans at the moment. I have also Just found out I am Rh- so I have to be extra vigilant of bleeding now.

If your epau aren’t scanning could you book a private scan?

Hi becs, any update? Hope you're doing well x

Becsd1993 · 10/06/2020 10:16

Unfortunately I had an early pregnancy loss. I'm here if anyone has any questions but from what I've found out everyone's experience is completely different so the best thing is to push to see someone even if it's just for a blood test to check your hcg levels. Virtual hugs to all you lovely ladies x

Hi becs I'm sorry to hear that

I got an early scan yesterday as I was in a lot of pain and found out I have an eptopic pregnancy:(

They've kept me in hospital as I'm in pain and gave me the injection last night so I'm here until at least Sunday to check if injection is working and I don't require surgery

Quite a surreal experience

Awh I'm so sorry for your loss.
Always here if you need a chat xx

It's our worst nightmare :(
