Symptoms changing

Hi everyone,

I’m currently 7+6 weeks pregnant and for the past few days my symptoms have been changing slightly. At 6 weeks I would retch as soon as I got up and normally be sick in the shower (just water and bile, sorry TMI). Then this week it’s changed slightly. For example on Thursday I felt awful with nausea and heaving but no sick. Yesterday not much nausea at all but yet I was sick twice. Today have woken up feeling pretty much fine but then the smell of OH’s dinner last night has set me off and I’ve been sick.
Is this ‘normal’ or did anyone experience this at this stage? I know there’s a huge spectrum of normal but I’m finding it strange that the nausea hasn’t ramped up everyday if that makes sense, as aside from the sick yesterday I felt pretty good.
That may have been a word vomit (no pun intended) but would be grateful for anyone’s experiences. Thanks

Hi OP, I'm now 9+5 and my sickness & nausea has been different all the time too! It started as just nausea, then it was nausea and sickness, and then it got a little better for a few days and now I've got sickness with a lot less nausea. I also was being sick in the shower at the beginning and soon realised that getting too hot was making me very sick, so cool showers it is! Still happens now if I'm cooking and the kitchen gets too hot.

Hope this helps put your mind at ease a little 😊

Congratulations on your pregnancy.
It's completely normal for symptons to come and go.
I'm 28 weeks now and have gone through a whole spectrum of symptoms, it changes all the time. I also have weeks where I'm absolutely fine and don't even feel pregnant!
I had bad sickness in the first trimester but even then I could be sick 5 times one day then nothing for the next day or 2. There was never any pattern to it.

Thank you both for your replies @Jasminex1 and @sel2223.

Ah that does make sense about the heat in the shower I’ll keep that in mind. Also reassuring that you both said your symptoms varied. I think I was worrying a bit that I felt almost good and not pregnant at some points. First trimester is such a mindbender!
