7 weeks and a bleed

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone can relate to this and let me know how it played out. I've had a scan, following bleeding, showing a 7 week fetus with a heartbeat which is such a positive. However, I was also told there was a bleed showing up on the ultrasound (6mm x 4mm) and that it could just rectify itself. When I asked if it was common she said no it wasn't and it isn't great but it's only very small. Now the words 'not common' and 'isn't great' are running around my head. I wished I'd asked what she meant by it 'wasn't great' but I didn't. She said if the bleeding stops and starts again I need to call them or if it gets much worse. I've had a google and it's sounds like a threatened miscarriage (continuing pregnancy but bleeding). So I thought I'd see if anyone has had similar on here. We've been registered with the fertility clinic after TTC for 3 years and had a previous miscarriage so feeling anxious.

Hey just wanted to say i had a bleed under the baby last from about 6.5 to 9.5 weeks then it went away, so doesnt always mean a problem, just rest and take it easy, im currently bleeding again but this time it could be from a cyst, ive got a scan booked for tuesday to find out

Hi OP,

I'm expecting my second and had a bleed at 6 weeks then 10 weeks. Now 23+. It was a terrifying time but hospital actually told me the opposite... that it was quite common and that it usually just reabsorbs back into your body naturally. At the time I was so worried I just couldn't believe them, but bleeding stopped at 11 weeks, then 20 week scan showed it had indeed reabsorbed. How are you now? Thanks

Thank you so much for both your reassuring replies it means a lot. It's been so worrying but the bleeding seems to be easing off a bit so hopefully things are heading in the right direction. Will be thinking of you Sazzy and hope the scan goes well Xx
