My bump has shrunk!

Hi all

Currently 18+5 weeks and I swear my bump has shrunk in size! It's much smaller than it was a few weeks ago

I'm hoping it's just bloating and fluid retention diminishing as the pregnancy progresses

Has anyone else experienced similar and it's all been fine? X

Give your midwife a call, OP. They won't mind, and you need medical advice, not MN advice on this one

@gokartdillydilly I've left them a message one of my main symptoms of pregnancy was a lot of bloating so I think it might just be that going away now. I've also started to feel little one move around now on a more regular basis so taking that as a good sign hopefully! I just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar

Baby could have repositioned, mine sometimes went very odd shapes depending on how they decided to stretch!

Baby moved?

I was bigger at 13 weeks than I was at 20 weeks because it was all bloat not baby initially it's very common but if you're worried call your midwife. As PP said baby could also have turned xx

I was bigger at 16 weeks than I am now at 17 weeks. Like you, I put it down to bloat reducing.

I'm 21 weeks and some times I get this but I think it's bloating as my bump is always smaller in the morning when I wake up. But if you not sure and need a little reassurance then get in touch with your midwife. I hit my bump a couple of weeks ago and was panicking like crazy, even though she was pretty sure she let me come in and listened to the heartbeat and reassured me

The bloating fits, I had a huge food baby at first which dissappeared before I got a baby bump
