Is it possible to get prenant if you have had sex on your period/ at end of? sorry to be so blunt but i thought it was "safe" but now i'm a bit worried as i feel a bit like i might be.. have 2 young ones already

If you know your cycle very well and it is regular, it is unlikely. But it's always possible - very early ovulation, for example.

dh and I have occasionally sort-of practised the calendar method - some success, but one conception

sperm can survive up to 5 days inside the female body!!
