TTC after miscarriage

Hello ladies, I would like your input on this, though I know everyone is different.

I have just had a missed miscarriage and had a medically managed removal 2 days ago.

Though I'm not quite ready to try again until the pain and bleeding stops, am I best to try straight away or wait until I've had a normal period to help avoid another miscarriage.

I know they suggest waiting for dating accuracy but I know I will be more fertile straight away.

I'm so sorry for your loss My consultant advised me to wait until after my first period after my miscarriage before trying again. I was only 10 weeks when the MMC was discovered but I had a d&c and he said waiting a month gives everything time to heal and settle down. I ended up not concieving again till the month after my original due date. I'm 40 and trying for my first so the time it took was torture and very frustrating. If you're happy to try sooner and didn't have surgery I can't see why you would need to wait.

I'm 42 and this would be my 1st. I had the hormone pills to remove the pregnancy. It was picked up at the 12 wk scan and baby died @ 10+3.

Im confused if I try too soon maybe I won't be healed properly and if I wait for a period I will lose the high fertility. 🤔

@Furbabymum15 sorry to hear this. My consultant advised me that it’s safe to try as soon as the bleeding stops and as long as you are ready, a lot of people get pregnant before they even have their first af after mc and go on to have healthy pregnancies. Their is no scientific evidence to suggest waiting a certain length of time after a mc unless you still have conception tissue in ur womb that still needs removed. They said that they only reason they advise to wait til after your first af is so that it is easier to date the pregnancy. Best of luck x
