Smell of weed?

We have new neighbours and recently noticed a rather strong smell of weed mainly in our bathroom to the point it is now overpowering. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant so you can imagine I have to use the bathroom like 3 times an hour. And today I feel off. Have a horrid headache. Thankfully baby is still moving normally. I also have a 2 year old that likes to occasionally follow me to the bathroom and he has done nothing but eat so far today.
I was wondering if anyone knew what the effects of this would be?
I have gathered my 2 year old has the munchies but I'm concerned regarding my pregnancy.
Or weather it is just in my head and I'm over reacting

The smell shouldn't give you any effects of being stoned, it's only when you inhale the smoke directly (if you walk into a smoke cloud basically) or actually smoke the joint that effects can occur.
I would say you're ok, but for now if you can, keep your windows in your bathroom closed.
If your neighbours that are smoking it are nice, then maybe have a chat with them and let them know your concerns.
If you're super concerned over your health, just give your midwife a call to put your mind at rest x

The bathroom window is closed and so is the door but the moment you walk in there you are hit with the smell. I've never known anything like it.

I'm happy to know that the smell doesn't cause much effect. Must just be having an off day.

Do you know for sure it’s your neighbours? I’m only asking because mould growing somewhere can smell like weed also and especially with you only being able to smell it in the bathroom you may have mould underneath the bath/tiles etc. Just something else to think about if you can’t smell it anywhere else in the house x

@Ek3009

precisely this, we have an ensuite shower (as in a shower literally just stood in the corner of the room) and noticed something similar - lifted the carpet and found a lot of mould in the carpet and underlay.

The thing about mould is that it can cause all sorts of symptoms like muscle aches, headaches, nausea if there's enough of it.

That being said, we also have neighbours who smoke weed.

Our new neighbours have openly admitted to smoking weed.

We don't have tiles in our bathroom and under the flooring it just concrete. but shall get DH to investigate when he gets home just in case
