@lilypad88 I will thank you. Hoping I can get a scan quick enough he said it will be within 3 days. Just worrying that the bleeding is getting gradually heavier:(

doji789 · 31/05/2020 22:57

Hey everyone,

Hope you're all ok!

I was just wondering for those of you who have had early confirmation or early gender scans did you do this at your local private hospital? The private hospital local to me that I used with my 1st pregnancy has temporarily stopped baby scanning so just wondering if I maybe I need to travel further afield. X

BabyG123 · 01/06/2020 07:20

@Hopefulmummie I Hope you're ok 😘

@doji789 I use a place called window to the womb. It's a chain so might be one near you.

@Babyboom1990 I'm hoping it's normal too. When I rang out of hours the dr couldn't stress enough how normal it was

My cousin bled pretty much every day in the first and second trimester! It was so scary for her but she has just given birth to a baby boy! I think bleeding is really common! Hope you are ok hun xxx

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 08:09

@lollipop93 thank you it is good to hear reassurances. Hoping I can get in for a scan to put my mind at ease

Lollipop93 · 01/06/2020 08:32

@Hopefulmummie yeah def best to get checked to put mind at ease. It is scary to see it, but it does help to know it’s not always a bad sign!

MayBug2020 · 01/06/2020 08:46

@Hopefulmummie hope you are ok and the gp provides some reassurance for you xx

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 10:06

Thank you.

Just off the phone to the gp who wasn't that helpful. Just said if I went for a scan now they probably wouldn't be able to see anything and normally they only scan after 6 weeks. She said she would refer me anyway and if anything changes or bleeding gets heavier to go to a and e

I might ring the early pregnancy unit myself and see what they say

TerribleImagination · 01/06/2020 10:36

@Hopefulmummie Your poor thing 😢 I’d call EPU yourself. Speaking from personal experience, they won’t scan you before 6 weeks though. They might get you in to take bloods every 48 hours though, to check if your HCG is rising or not - so that could be better than just waiting it out?

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 10:39

@terribleimagination I rang there and just waiting on a midwife ringing back. I have heard of people getting scanned before 6 weeks but I know they'll not be able to see much anyway

lilypad88 · 01/06/2020 10:49

@Hopefulmummie oh hun... how frustrating! I really feel they let us down in this period of pandemic seriously.... hope you're okay

I'm gonna have my first pregnancy appointment via call with the nurse this afternoon, I don't even get the point of it, what is she gonna tell me or do without seeing me oO

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 10:49

So my hospital isn't taking anyone in for scans due to coronavirus :( just said I'll have to wait it out and they will ring me back next week to see how things are

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 10:57

I'll be 6 weeks on Saturday so feel like booking a private scan just to put my mind at ease

lilypad88 · 01/06/2020 11:16

WoolyMammoth55 · 01/06/2020 11:33

hey ladies, i'm going to be 8 weeks on friday... SUCH a foul mood today, keep just yelling at my poor DH and our little boy who's just turned 3. NOT PROUD OF MYSELF but why oh why isn't everyone just putting me to bed with a cup of sweet tea?? ok, as a write this I'm sure that's what I need so I'll just do it for myself and solve the problem Grin

my top tip this time around for all the upset stomachs is 2 Biokult tablets a day - they REALLY help, if I don't take them in the morning I'm so gassy and unsettled by the afternoon that I definitely take them then! everyone's different but for me they're the magic beans :)

sending loads of love to all, especially anyone who is worried today. hoping for good outcomes and healthy little blueberries X

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 11:56

@Babyboom1990 they have appointment available on Sunday so might book it. It's terrible that you have to pay to get answers during this time
