Hiya! I am wondering if any of you are thinking of joining your local NCT or have any of you done it before? Is it worth it? Also, what about the NCT membership?

I've signed up to NCT classes before the baby is born but I didn't join the membership.

You don't have to be a member to go to the classes, or most of the local branch groups.

What does the membership entail? It seemed slightly unclear to me. Were the NCT classes worth it? Thank you so much

I attended NCT classes before my daughter was born in 2018. There were 7 sets of parents in the class and all 7 of us Mums still meet up weekly (well we did until lockdown happened!).
I couldn't recommend it enough (and I was sceptical to begin with) more because of the friends I made than what I learned. It was incredibly helpful to have a group of people going through the same thing at the same time to share hints and tips.
Our 'babies' are now all coming up 18 Months and we can't wait to meet up again and see how they play together now they are all walking and chatting gobbledygook! Smile
I didn't sign up as a member or attend other events through NCT, just the antenatal classes.

With the lockdown restrictions I don't see the point in the classes to be honest. You might as well just watch some free videos on baby care.
