Recently posted on here regarding a potential miscarriage. Posted on here as had not many reply's.

I did a pregnancy test on 8th May was Negative.

10-12th May had period was very short for me and had clots in it...

On 16th May had some pains and then did a pregnancy test as realised period was very short and the test was positive. So because of cramps and blood I called Early Pregnancy Unit and they called me straight in.

I had an internal scan which showed nothing in womb nothing concrete as such and had bloods which came back as my progesterone being 3nmol/L and the HGC levels were 204IU/L

Due to low progesterone the nurse said very very unlikely the pregnancy will be viable.

I went in for my second lots of bloods this morning (so they were taken less than 48 hours apart) the HGC level has gone from 204 to 387

The progesterone was not redone as they don't redo it she said.

So I have no answer still if it was or wasn't a miscarriage.

Have to go back Wednesday now for another scan and more bloods as she suspects or rule out ectopic

You're right that Wednesday isn't far away but when you're waiting for something like a scan it is ana bailouts lifetime.
My situation wasn't like yours but I was in agony around 7 weeks and ended up in A&E and then had to go back the next day to the EPU for a scan. I didn't have to go until the afternoon and I literally felt someone had hit the pause button on my life and nothing was moving forward.
I do hope everything is ok with you and that baby is still there!

I’m sorry you’re going through this.
When was your last normal period?
It sounds like it could still be some implantation bleeding (cramps can be normal at this time) and a pregnancy growing ok - your hcg rise is normal. Wouldn’t expect anything to be seen on scan if Preg test was negative on 8th - you’re probably only 4 weeks pregnant? Fingers crossed all turns out ok
