TMI - not constipated but finding it hard to go 4/5 weeks

Im not constipated because I have poo'd but its i go to the bathroom and its so difficult to poo and then i have to keep coming out then going in again a little while after and still nothing 😭 is this normal?

Oh yeah - one of the many delightful side effects of pregnancy! Lots of water, high fibre foods and putting your feet up on a stool helps I find. You can get laxatives too but you'd have to check to see what's safe in pregnancy.

Agree with PP - plus exercise helps loads To move things around, even just a 30 min walk a day.

That is constipation - one of the delights of early pregnancy! Good advice already given :) kiwifruit is great - you can get frozen kiwifruit drink called kiwi crush where I am which works well. Laxatives are mostly fine, GP should be able to help if diet/fluids/exercise doesn’t. Good luck! And congratulations :)

I’m 5+2 and have the same issue. Got prune juice yesterday and it worked like a charm! (It’s disgusting though!)

It gets worse !! 25weeks +3 here and suffer weekly ! Drink plenty of water , eat enough fibre and try not to strain too much (piles !)
