Had a period like bleed at 5 weeks

My period was 2 days late. I tested and it was positive. The next day I started bleeding I bled for 5 days and it was like a normal period. I still have some light brown spotting type bleeding. My tests have been getting stronger. Today was the strongest yet. Also a few days ago I took a clear blue digital weeks indicator and it said 2-3 weeks.
I phoned the early pregnancy unit they have booked me in for a scan in a weeks time as they reckon from dates I'm only just coming up to 6 weeks now.
I previously had an ectopic a year ago but never bled when I had that just brown spotting so this has been different.
Anyone any ideas what could be going on?
I'm so worried and hate waiting. I have normal preg symptoms too like bloating, headaches, some nausea been having diareh in morning.

If you're tests have been getting stronger than that's great! Sounds like you've had some implantation bleeding or a bleed outside of the gestational sac, which is all quite common in early pregnancy.
If you're not in any pain either than signs seem to be pointing in the right direction!
Fingers crossed all is well on your scan next week.
If you're only 6 weeks don't worry if they can't find a heartbeat, it doesn't usually pop up until around 7 weeks or just after.
