When should you order your pram?

Hey. I just was wondering when did everyone order their pram? I'm 22 weeks pregnant but afraid it's too early to buy it although any shops I've contacted they said the pram is on pre order so wont be in to July. I'm due middle of September, do you think it's too early to order? Thanks

I think if you want something specific, order. Stock is becoming an issue. We ended up ordering our pram and car seat at 18 weeks - much earlier than expected.

Thanks :) I know what one I want and because it's on pre order in most shops I'm afraid to leave it too long but again I dont want to get it to early...think I'm just over thinking it all lol

We ordered ours at 4 months. As long as you have the space for it!

I know John Lewis will delivery things a month before your due date.
When it arrives in July, do you have space for storage until your due date?

I work in a nursery store (well, furloughed now) but because of the current situation a lot of the brands I work with have very limited stock levels and production is on and off so I would pre order now if I were you. Especially as you already know the one you want. If the preorder isn’t due until July anyway then it’s not that early for your September baby really and you are sensibly allowing for any delays

I ordered mine at 16 weeks, much earlier than I'd ever planned but with the current situation the wait times for delivery were long. If you've found one you like, it's probably worth ordering it now.

I waited till after baby was born to see which one I fancied depending on how I was finding it all. Plus, for me (non corona time) I knew I'd have more time once baby was born and I wasn't working to sort all this stuff out.
Glad I did. Bought a sling and never needed a pram so never bought one.

Aw thanks so much girls! Yeh I've loads of room to store when it arrives. I think I will order tomorrow as I know I have the room and as you say if there are delays with the current situation at least I will have plenty of time. I'd love to be able to go to shops to look at them and pick but I don't think this will be possible as I'm in the shielding catergory due to an underlying condition and goodness only knows when we will be allowed out.

I ordered mine at 10 weeks as a travel system was in the sale at a really really good price.

Order it when you see the one you want and you've got the money for it.

I've tried to spread the big things across the months so one thing per month to help the bank account. Makes it all a bit easier to afford.

Do it when you want too. There is no set time. Enjoy the baby shopping 💕💕💕

I brought my pram when I was 14 weeks, it was on offer, plus mothercare discount of 10%
So we got the silver cross pioneer with car seat for 798, when it should have been like 1100 I think.
Ill be using it again this time round.
Order it, if youve space it can stay in the box til nearer the time x
