Any one experienced little brown clots or spots in discharge?

It's become quiet normal for my to have blood in discharge after a BM however this morning there was a tiny little dark red clot and little brown spots in discharge. Phoned EPU who basically said scan isnt appropriate and try not to worry. Trying to convince myself theres nothing wrong but just wondered if anyone else had experience of this?

How far along are you? I had some spotting at about 6 weeks. I went for a private scan and everything was fine. I was told it was caused by implantation bleeding/subchorionic haematoma, i.e. blood from implantation which your body usually absorbs but sometimes it doesn't and it pools in your uterus and comes out some time after.

It's so stressful, I know. Can you go for a private scan if you're very worried?

I'm 12+1 had a private scan at 8 weeks and dating scan last wednesday and baby was fine, phoned EPU who have said they wont scan as not heavy bleeding

I guess the only reassurance is that bleeding in pregnancy is very normal. Hopefully someone will be along who has bled after their 12 week scan and can reassure you.

I was also told that brown blood is old blood and not usually something to worry about

I bled just before my 12 week scan. It looked like a small clot of red blood in mucus. All was fine (I had cramps and back pain with this too!) I then had a recurrence of pretty much the same thing between 13/14 weeks. All was fine again. This was during my last pregnancy.

@eskdale2004 thank you its reassuring that someone had a happy outcome!

My first pregnancy I had a few big, red bleeds that came in huge gushes, followed by brown blood afterwards. A bruise/bleed was picked up on my 12 week scan which had gone by 20 weeks, bleeding stopped by 15 weeks, healthy baby at full term (anterior placenta, fairly low so wonder whether this caused the bleeding). Second pregnancy I had no bleeding (baby fine) and on my 3 rd now, I had spotting on the day my first period was due and some discharge with brown in at 6 weeks, since then nothing (now 18 weeks 2 days).

@3isthemagicnumber3 so every pregnancy has been different! It's an emotional rollercoaster!

The first time, I was an emotional wreck after each bleed, convinced I had miscarried and didn’t relax for the whole pregnancy, this time I convinced myself at 6 weeks that I had lost the baby. It really is awful to experience but doesn’t always end badly.

I feel like every couple of days theres a panic and I have a meltdown!
