Anyone had a 2-3 weeks result on the day their period due? I got one yesterday and was shocked it went to 2-3 first, Ive always had 1-2 first! My lines seem to be getting darker fairly quickly so hoping that's all good news

Congrats on your pregnancy!
Perhaps you ovulated slightly earlier than you thought? Or maybe if it isnt your first DC your body is just more efficient creating the right hormones so they're coming up strong - perhaps its twins! Are your cycles normally regular?

EllieJai44 · 16/05/2020 12:58

@ThoroughlyForumed I had a peak ovulation test on 30th April and then my first positive was at 10dpo, cycles are regular at 31-32 days, this is my 5th pregnancy but I only have one living ching who was my first every pregnancy

The 3+ one was around a week or so before I miscarried. As you can tell I was POAS addicted!! I did 36 tests in total

@Lozz22 I'm so sorry for your loss :( I know tests aren't a guarantee, I was last pregnant in December, got super dark tests, 3+ on the digital, saw a heartbeat and at 9 weeks and 4 days my baby died 🤦‍♀️

Lozz22 · 16/05/2020 13:13

That's not all of them either lol

Mucklowe · 16/05/2020 13:20

Am I the only person who has only taken one test?? Why so many? Such a waste of money. And no doubt anxiety-inducing.

Lozz22 · 16/05/2020 13:48

Elliejai44 thank you. I'm sorry for your losses too. I think my Pregnancy was doomed right from the start tbh. I went for an early scan at 7 weeks and only measured 4.5/5 weeks. Saw the sac and yolk but no embryo. Knew the date of conception due me and my Other Half living long distance so knew measuring that far behind wasn't right. Went back 2 weeks later and the embryo had just started to form but no heartbeat detected. Found out I also had a SCH and to expect some bleeding when it dispersed but not to worry too much because Baby wasn't in danger because of it. Had another scan booked in the following week but started bleeding 5 days before and started passing clots. Got sent to the hospital on the Saturday where I was diagnosed with a kidney infection. Dr there did another test and that came back with a blazing positive but the scan on the Monday showed Baby had dropped onto my cervix. Couldn't confirm a miscarriage then because the sac was measuring right. Had a scan booked in for the following week but ended up in A&E 3 days later with strong cramps and bleeding. Gynaecologist pulled clots from my cervix said I was dilated slightly and booked me in for an emergency scan the following morning. That confirmed the miscarriage and the sac had began collapsing. By the Sunday night I thought I'd passed everything but a follow up pregnancy test 2 weeks later still showed positive and the scan showed 15mm of tissue. Took misoprostol and the rest came out a couple of days after. Miscarriage took 5 weeks in total. My previous 3 losses were straight forward. The 3rd I hadn't realised I was Pregnant until I passed it whilst in the shower

Lozz22 · 16/05/2020 13:51

@Mucklowe after 3 previous losses I needed the reassurance of seeing those lines get and stay dark and although not as reassuring as they should have been. I'll probably do the same again on my next Pregnancy. I'll also do the reassurance scan again even if it is bad news again

Em39ma · 16/05/2020 17:13

I got 2-3 5 days before my AF was due.
4 days later it had moved up to 3plus one

@Lozz22 omg that sounds awful! :( so sorry you had to go through that!

@Mucklowe because of anxiety of miscarriage, testing often actually helps

@Em39ma were your dates right? Had you ovulated early?

@Mucklowe I only tested once too, this is my third pregnancy following 2 miscarriages. I think once you have a positive you just have to trust it. My experience showed me even if I miscarried I would still test positive as there's usually hcg in your system for upto 3 weeks following a miscarriage.

Obviously nothing against people who do test multiple times (as I know it may give some reassurance in those early days/weeks) but I agree it could also lead to more anxiety and uncertainty, and the money spent on the tests could be put towards an early scan if that would be more reassuring in the time between positive test and the 12 week scan.

Em39ma · 16/05/2020 20:43

@EllieJai44 I did the same with my 7 month old. They will say I’m only just 5 weeks, but when I go for my early scan next Saturday I will probably be nearer 8 weeks.

EllieJai44 · 16/05/2020 20:53

@Em39ma so you think you're further along than you should be? Do you have longer cycles? I'd love to skip straight to 8 weeks lol

OP posts:
Em39ma · 16/05/2020 21:50

No 28 days, just I always get six week long one, before I get a positive. Don’t know why.

EllieJai44 · 16/05/2020 22:19

@Em39ma oh how odd! Good luck for your scan! I was supposed to get an early scan but my hospital isn't doing them atm so I may have to wait till 12 weeks

OP posts:
Em39ma · 17/05/2020 04:10

@EllieJai44 I’ve paid for a private one, as I had an ectopic before I had my DD. I can phone the hospital for one, but decided private was more likely to happen.

BabyDust13 · 17/05/2020 15:22

Hey I got a 2-3 on a digi today but I'm 4+2 🥳

BabyDust13 · 17/05/2020 15:29

This is the rest of mine I obviously couldn't just do one

Interestingly a first response rapid shows up way darker than a first response early detection test!
