Hey everyone!

I’m 27 weeks now with my first baby and my god I have found this pregnancy hard. Is anyone else the same?

I feel like as soon as I get rid of one symptom something else shows up in its place!

It started with terrible nausea which progressed to HG and being in hospital on a drip, ended up back in hospital due to total urine retention and constipation so bad I couldn’t go for weeks on end, recurrent UTIs, allergic reaction to the antibiotics for most recent UTI, pelvic girdle pain, a few instances of bleeding which I now know is cervical ectropion, visual migraines, random awful rash all over my body so was tested for choleostatis (negative thankfully) and the list goes on 😂

Not to mention my anxiety disorder taking a turn for the worse and having panic attacks near enough daily at the moment.

Thankfully baby is doing fine which is the main thing, but I’m usually really fit and well, I hadn’t been to the doctors for anything other than my anxiety in years before getting pregnant so I’m totally not used to all of this.

I’m struggling to walk or even sit for too long at the moment due to the pain in my pelvis, and it makes me rather envious of a few of my friends who’ve absolutely breezed through pregnancy 😂

I’m already so done, I’m so excited to meet our baby boy and hope he stays cooking til he’s nice and ready, but it can’t come quick enough.

I feel like my body is really struggling with pregnancy for some reason.

Oh no OP! Didn't want to read and run and I can only sympathise as I'm one of the lucky ones (so far!).
Big hand hold and a hug and hope things start to look up for you soon, with all your ailments 😭

Hi OP, this post is so me ! I’m sorry you’re going through the same .
I’m 25 weeks with my first. We’re having a little girl, I’m usually fit and well too other than epilepsy. My nausea and constant sickness started before I even got my positive test at 3 weeks 3 days, then it progressed and got worse and worse where I was vomiting all the time at work. I was in hospital in January with sepsis , pneumonia and tonsillitis (they’ve since said they think I had corona virus!). I felt awful, literally like I was dying, so I was convinced baby was going to suffer as it was so early on I thought how could it survive me being that unwell ?? Had a 10 week scan For reassurance and baby was bobbing about happily.
Then at 12 weeks I had cramps , dizziness, visual migraines, vertigo. 14 weeks my Urine infections started , constipation where I couldn’t go for weeks, I’ve had seizures. Baby girl is absolutely perfect, kicking away and she’s like a little miracle but my god the anxiety !
I’ve now been referred to the Perinatal mental health team as I’m not coping well at all. It’s bloody awful it’s not what I expected ! I’m gutted that I’m feeling so unhappy but it’s just been non stop! We are in this together OP! 💚
