Low iron?

Hi all, I’m am 25 weeks and as of the last few days I have been feeling like my heart is racing regularly and shortness of breath even when sitting, would this be low iron do you think? I missed my normal preganacare for a few days there as run out but didn’t think there would be such an impact of that’s so quick.
Anyone feel this way suddenly?

Hi OP! I get breathless and a racing heart and my iron levels are very good! It could be a contributing factor for you, but it's also very common for the breathlessness, as baby is growing and your diaphragm is getting squashed so you will find it harder to breath, the bigger you get.
I posted on here about the same thing a couple of weeks ago and because of the pandemic no one will see me, so I bought myself a BP machine, as breathlessness, whilst normal during pregnancy, can be something more serious, like pre-eclampsia.
My BP has stayed really steady and breathlessness is quite sporadic so I'm not concerned and neither was my midwife when I spoke with her.
I'd have a chat with your GP though just time put your mind at rest. I'm only one of many that have similar symptoms, all with different outcomes.
Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks so much for your reply, I had high blood pressure and pre eclampsia in last pregnancy ( although blood pressure was normal until 30weeks) I actually just now took out my bp cuff I had in last pregnancy and it is reading 135/80 which is maybe a little high though no where near what I was last time. Il see how I am tomorrow and over weekend and continue to check bp and give a call to gp if needed. Many thanks for your reply! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly xx

No worries! Glad you have a BP machine!
Just keep an eye on it and if it stays as it currently is then definitely give your GP a call.
Hope everything goes well with you too 🥰
