Hi guys, just wondering if anyone else out there is suffering from lack of sleep. I'm just over 30 weeks and got another 5 weeks in work (stress). I'm really struggling to sleep at night, I can't get comfy, my hips and pelvis really hurt when I lie down, I get terrible acid and I'm up and down to wee! I'm lucky to get an hour or two uninterrupted and its really taking its toll. I've tried piling up the pillows, putting one between my knees etc, and that just seems to make me more uncomfortable.

Is it just me, and has anyone got any bright ideas?

Thanks

I have this - no other suggestions apart from taking care of yourself and taking everything else easy if you can. Could you get some sick leave from work?

Have you tried using any essential oils?

I think DH is going to try and get some lavender oil for me today, bless him. Time off work is not really an option, I've got so much to do and not many weeks left! (Thank goodness!)

Sorry to hear you are sleep deprived, I was too at around 26 weeks and myself in a right state. There's been a good thread recently on this topic which may help...

I was exactly like you at exactly that time - and now at 36 weeks I am finding it easier to sleep. Can you work from home or go in a little late (even 9.30?) Or have a couple of midwife 'appointments' (yet another blood test, tsk!) so you can lie in. Even if you are not sleeping having some shut eye is still rest.
As for acid it is a pain in the backside and I have never found a cure expect gallons of gaviscon by the bed, prop up with pillows and sleep on your left if you can, helps digestion or something.
Good luck, it will get easier!
