Measuring 40 Weeks at 36+2 Weeks

So I am 36 +2 weeks pregnant today and I am measuring at 40 weeks (tape used to measure my uterus) ..
At my last appointment I was measuring a week and a few days ahead so I went for a private growth scan to which I was told my baby is weighing 8lb2oz. I have a growth scan this Monday in the hospital to confirm my baby's weight. I hope the first scan is wrong but I don't think it was.
The doctor today told me the scanner will decide if I will be tested for GD.
This is my first baby. Does anyone know what the next step would be? Would they induce or section me earlier?
Anyone who has been in this position or has anymore information would be great!!
Thank you.

If you do have GD they will want to induce at 39w or maybe before

most people I've hear did in the same position have had the baby's weight over estimated by a lot.
also the measurement with the tape isn't accurate at all.
don't worry
