Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced or is currently experiencing sciatica related to pregnancy and how you manage it? I’m 32 weeks pregnant with my second baby (never had it with my first) and have no issues with my back prior to this so it has taken me a little by surprise!!
I’m finding it tricky as I’ve been given strong pain relief however finding I’m reluctant to take it unless it’s night time and also find just the pain and immobility has had a massive impact on my general mood!
It’s had a real impact on my general day to day life - I’m currently sleeping in my 7 year old daughters bed as the mattress I share with my partner is far too soft so I was waking up in agony. Also due to the lockdown at the minute the only opportunity to get outside is to exercise and I can only really walk 10-15 minutes before it becomes unbearable. Also find it pretty impossible to be comfy in any position that doesn’t cause any pain and can’t really get anything done at home as bending and moving around too much seems to really irritate it.
I hope this doesn’t sound too whingey, I’m just hoping to maybe find some tips or even just another person that’s struggling with it as it can feel pretty lonely at times - so hopefully this might help someone else in a similar situation. (Especially during a lockdown!! 😬🙃)
