I'm really panicking if anyone else has had this and could share their story with me I would be so grateful.

Today I had a scan as i had a tiny bit of bleeding (which is now brown) and a sharp pain on my right side.

I should be about 5 weeks ish and my hcg is at 131 but on Sunday I took a clear blue weeks Indicator test which said 2-3 but looking online my hcg should have been higher to get that response. I have to have more bloods taken tomorrow.

I hate being in limbo as have previously had a miscarriage.

Hi @Star1995 what was the outcome of the scan? They couldnt find anything there? I dont know if I missed something but you didnt say in your post.

Star1995 · 13/05/2020 20:46

The outcome was pregnancy of unknown location and have to have bloods done tomorrow to see if HCG has gone up 😕

I'm afraid mine wasn't a good outcome, but I was a week further along than you think you are. One of the options was that it was just too early, I think they say HCG needs to be above 1000 before they can see anything. Mine was 230 ish on the Monday. On the Sat before that I'd got 2-3 weeks on the CB test, on the Tuesday it went down to 1-2 weeks, confirmed by the bloods to be reducing on the Wed.

Star1995 · 13/05/2020 21:10

@Fredthespider sorry yours ended in a loss.

I just hate all this in limbo I just want to know for sure which way it's going!

@Star1995 I know exactly how you feel! I’m happier news I caught the next month and am now 12 weeks along just waiting for the scan, but so far everything seems ok. Hope you get some answers tomorrow.

Star1995 · 13/05/2020 21:39

@Fredthespider congratulations! Hopefully if this is ending now I'll be as lucky as you 😊

I had this before and had a rescan the next week and all was ok. 5 weeks is early to be able to see much. Try stay positive and got everything crossed for you.

ApplePie86 · 13/05/2020 21:50

Pretty sure you need to add 2 weeks into CB digital tests as they work out from ovulation. So 2-3 weeks means you are really 4-5 weeks.

Hope everything works out!

Star1995 · 13/05/2020 22:24

I found these online. So either my HCG has gone down as Sunday when I tested I was 2-3 weeks but my actual HCG today is 131 or the tests are unreliable.

Have you done another test to see how many weeks it is saying now?

Star1995 · 13/05/2020 23:12

@UrsulaSings No, not going to wast any more money on tests now and just see what my bloods come back as tomorrow.

Hey. Clear blue weeks indicators are beyond crap, ignore and don’t buy any more. Unfortunately the only way you’ll know what’s going on is by giving it time and tracking the blood hcg levels as planned. There’s a huge range of normal hcg levels at any given gestation so it may all be fine, or it may not - I definitely understand your concern and it’s really hard to get through the time just not knowing. Fingers crossed that level goes up nicely and it’s just been too early. X

Hi OP. Sorry to hear of your PUL. Just thought I would copy and paste my experience of a PUL. My HCG went down, then up again and unfortunately ended with having methotrexate. Hope you have family/friends in real life who can support you as it's a really rubbish situation to be in BrewThanks
