Photos at 12 weeks scan

Anyone been for a scan whilst in lock down? Our hospital says you have to use a machine to buy tokens for a photo and it only takes pound coins, now seen as no where is taking chances he I can't get my hands on pound coins, got plenty of change just not change. I was wondering as the ticket machine is likely to be a covid hazard anyway if they're just giving photos for free? When I had my first child the women just gave the photos for free anyway so I know they obviously can do this. I just want a photo as my partner can't come thanks xx

I went for a scan last week and the Sonographer just printed one out for me. The machine had tape on it so people didn't use it x

I'm nearly 20 weeks, had 4 nhs scans and have received free photos at them all 🙂 also, just got another letter for my scan in a week's time and that says on it that photos are free.

I've had 2 NHS scans in lockdown and all photos were free both times, my trust had posted a maternity services update on their facebook page and said they will be free throughout lockdown x

Thanks guys, last time I just got free photos anyway but the letter is still saying it's £3 but I can't imagine they're expecting people to all touch the same button so I'm sure it'll be fine

Hi, I was assuming mine might be free last month but had to pay £5 each! Depends on the hospital I guess. I had to pay at the machine but was able to use contactless

I had my 20 week scan on Monday and they aren't charging us as a way of saying sorry you have to come on your own and they also gave me more photos!

Thanks guys my scan was this afternoon, all went well and they're machine was now closed and I just got some free photos from them

I have never paid for a scan photo, or been asked to pay for a scan photo for any of my 7 pregnancies. Three completely different areas too.

And this pregnancy (my 7th) I've had lots of scans and photos. The last scan on Monday I was given 3 photos

I had to pay £12 for a digital download of one of my scan images!
