Shrinking bump

So, I'm 16 + 2 & over the past 3 days my bump just seems to be getting smaller and smaller🙈 it wasn't massive to begin with but I finally felt like I was starting to show and now it seems to have almost disappeared.

I've also got a few aches and pains this week in my back and stomach but nothing that word even warrant a hot water bottle or tablets, I'm just aware they're there. More so cause I'm sat over analysing.

Has anyone else had anything like this? I spoke to this midwife who wasn't concerned and I have a private scan tomorrow which has been booked for weeks. However now I'm incredibly anxious something is wrong.

Could the bump have appeared to look bigger because of bloating

GrumpyHoonMain · 13/05/2020 12:06

This is normal - in the first trimester you bloat die to your hormones and then from the second as your hormones regulate your bloat recedes so you see your true bump. This is especially true if you’re really fit and have a strong core / pelvic floor - my stomach when completely flat at 16 weeks and I didn’t get my bump again until well into the third trimester.

Good to check it out but it’s probably just the first trimester bloating subsiding.
