Haven't felt movement for over a week?

Hello all!
I'm currently 18+3 and I've been experiencing flutters since around 15 weeks. But now I haven't felt anything for over 10 days. The last movement I felt was quite significant, i hiccuped and it felt like baby completely flipped. That was the last thing I felt.
I called my midwife last Thursday as I was concerned, and I'd been getting stabbing pains (she said it sounded like ligaments. She said not to worry as it was still quite early, and most people don't feel anything yet anyway.
However I'm still concerned. I ended up booking a private scan for later this week, as I haven't got my 20 week scan until the 27th. I'm just so worried that something is wrong.
I'm classed as high risk due to having a high bmi, and I can't shake the feeling that everything has been going so smoothly so something is going to go wrong.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and had everything be ok? I just need some reassurance because I'm worried sick.

My guess is they have just moved to a completely different position where you can’t feel them . Good luck for scan.

I was absolutely convinced at 18 weeks that I'd had a missed miscarriage because I hadn't felt movement in about a week. Had a private scan and everything was absolutely fine. Nothing to worry about at this stage but you've definitely done the right thing in booking the scan, if only to put your mind at ease.

Hope everything goes well.

Call your local early pregnancy unit. They'll give you proper guidance and may ask you in. Best of luck xx

The baby is still incredibly small and can move around a lot. It’s likely they’ve changed position and are likely doing the can can and enjoying the waters. Try not to worry, let us know how your scan goes xx

I’m 17+3 and still haven’t felt a thing but had a private scan Saturday and little girl is as wriggly as can be! It’s probably because baby has moved! Your body too is constantly changing and adapting so it’s probably just fluid that’s stopping you from feeling it. I wouldn’t worry too much :) but always good to get a scan for reassurance! Good luck!

I’m sure you’ll get reassurance from your scan as like others have said it’s very early. You could try drinking some ice cold water then lying down, that can work when baby is a bit bigger but not sure if it would just now.

Just to let you all know, baby is perfectly fine! Found out we're having a very lazy girl who doesn't like to be disturbed! 😄

Give your midwife a call it's important at 24 weeks Ive been told to make that call if haven't felt a movement for one day. Everything will be fine at around 18 weeks didn't feel as much movement but do call her

silverstrawberry · 14/05/2020 22:05

Starlightstarbright1 · 14/05/2020 22:27

I had this and my baby is absolutely fine and here now!
I did go in to the pregnancy unit for extra scans however (it ended up happening the whole way through for some reason) i'd recommend calling in and speaking to your midwife. They might tell you to come in.... I ended up going in lots of times but baby girl is here and healthy. Watching her sleep now. Good luck op.
