Bleeding & Cramps at 5 weeks ...

Hi everyone, yesterday I noticed a little spotting when I went to the bathroom and thought "how
odd!" .. my period wasn't due as I had it a week and a half ago (or so I thought). So I decided to do a pregnancy test and got a 'positive 1-2 weeks' result. I've had spotting and cramps for almost 24 hours now. Varying in colour, but very light. And light-minor cramps. I would be 5 weeks + 1 since date of conception...

I was pregnant earlier in the year and had similar bleeding at 6-7 weeks and unfortunately that was a miscarriage. I had blood tests, a scan which showed 'no evidence of pregnancy' and then a pregnancy test 2 weeks later to confirm 'negative'.... I'm really worried it's the same happening again at the moment, just a bit earlier. I've read it's common for bleeding at 5 weeks, but what about cramps? It's also so confusing about implantation bleeding.. some say that's a few days after conception and others say around 5 weeks?! ... so if this IS implantation bleeding the what was that I had the other week that I thought was my period?

I guess the only thing I can do at this stage is wait it out and do another test in a week to see if the levels have gone up or down. This feels very similar to when I had a miscarriage so I'll be very surprised otherwise... I just wondered if anyone else had any similar stories with positive outcomes to give me some hope? Although I won't get my hopes up x
