The Baby First Aid session of my ante natal classes has been cancelled now they've moved to zoom (not very happy about this but that's another thread!). Can anyone recommend a suitable book - preferably with lots of pictures. Thanks!

Not a book but the Red Cross website has lots of videos

St Johns Ambulance have a load of YouTube videos too. I was given a few guides by my HV about basic first aid, signs of meningitis and sepsis.

I did a first aid session when DS was about 5 months before we started weaning and before he really got on the move - I thought that was a pretty good time to do it as it's a more dangerous time for things like choking and falls.

St John's ambulance does a phone app. I have a book but it says the same thing.

British Red Cross have a baby and child first aid app, which is great

The Red Cross phone app is excellent. And it's free!

I couldn't get onto a first aid course until baby was 5 months old. However, I think it was for the best as we got the physical practice for choking just before weaning and movement started. So it was still fresh in our minds during the nerve wracking gagging instances.

Thanks all. I'll have a look at the ap and youtube videos but also hoped to find a good book for referring to (I'm a bit old fashioned Smile).

@HeyDuggeewhatchadoin is your book from St John's Ambulance also?
