Just wondering if anyone had tried SW whilst pregnant? Not to lose weight obviously but to try and limit weight gain to within what’s recommended by the NHS.

My BMI is 34 and I’m disappointed that I’ve already put on 5lb since discovering I was pregnant. I’m only 10 weeks! I would blame lockdown and horrendous nausea but I need to take some responsibility now and I’ve found SW works brilliantly in the past.

My understanding is that the plan is the same except you add in an extra healthy choice A and an extra B to make sure you’re getting the calcium etc you need.

Anyone had any success or fancy joining me?

I did for a little while, but stopped going to meetings because I didn't want to pay a fiver a week to be told I'd gained weight. In the end I only gained about about 16 pounds, which I was really happy with given that DS was 10lb 11!

I'd lost 17 pounds the day after I gave birth and fitted back into my jeans immediately, not that I was in any state to wear them mind! However, then I found the couch and biscuits and DS is now almost 20 months and I'm a good bit heavier than my prebirth weight. No matter I guess!

I should say, I still stuck to the plan after stopping meetings, had a great pregnancy and passed all the GTT, blood pressure tests etc

Thanks for your reply @TheLovleyChebbyMcGee, that’s what I’m aiming for - to just gain the minimum healthy amount. At least SW is healthy either way!

Yeah that's what I figured, couldn't hurt to eat healthier, good luck with your pregnancy!

I have been on it again a week. I am 17 weeks pregnant and have put on A STONE AND A HALF ALREADY!!! Which is utterly ridiculous so I just didn't want to put on loads and loads more!

I am having an extra HexA and B. Mainly have a bowl of cereal at night or I find I feel so sick overnight.

I think it's good - have lost 1lb which i'm pleased about, esp as I ate literally everything in sight yesterday!

Good luck! X
