Growth scan 30 weeks

Due to my last lb being prem I’m having more scans this time what do they check for on the growth scan and how long do they take,I obviously can’t take my other half but just wondering what they look for other than the how baby’s is growing x

I've been having 2 regular scans. One where they measure the head and abdominal circumstances. If the stomach is small or can indicate the placenta isnt providing as it should. I think they check cord flow in the growth scan also. I get another scan where they measure the liquor volume. Both scans check kidneys and heart.

I had several growth scans when I was pregnant (due to age, 44).

They measure the baby, the amount of amniotic fluid, check baby's heartbeat, position of baby, the flow of blood through the placenta and the condition of the placenta. They also gave me estimated weight of the baby but they were all wrong. I kept getting told I was having a big baby and he was born less than 7lb.

My scans were very quick, only 10 to 15 minutes and I got a picture each time.
