I am struggling quitting at 5 weeks pregnant. I have gone down to a lower strength and not doing it as much but creeping back in. Does anyone have any tips? Xx

I had the challenge of quitting smoking at the beginning of my pregnancy. I gave myself a stop date and cut back over time then when the date came I stuck with it and haven't had any since.
Good luck

I was 13w when I stopped. I wanted to quit by the end of the 1st trimester so I wouldn't be smoking when the placenta took over. Its not as easy as just going cold turkey. I know some people can but I needed the time to cut down. I was down to like 1 or 2 a week by the time I did stop. Still miss it some days but I really don't want to go back to it as I feel a lot healthier without it.

I don't know about vaping but I know smoking is really bad for the placenta.

Thank you for the info so the smoking in the first trimester obviously didnt affect growth or heartbeat forming more just the toxins that get through once the placenta takes over? Well done for quitting it's so hard!
