I've always had trouble swallowing tablets. I'm 31 weeks and have been having the liquid pregnacare vitamin throughout my pregnancy as the normal pregnacare tablets are huge and I can't swallow them.

Looking at the pregnacare breastfeeding ones and these seem to be the same size. And theres no liquid version!

Has anyone had the boots breastfeeding vitamins? They say you take 2 tablets so I'm wondering if they are smaller?

I can manage to swallow normal sized paracetamol tablets so if they are a similar size to that it will be fine.

Or if anyone has had other brands that are smaller and would recommend that would be great.

I'm not looking for advice on swallowing tablets, and I understand that I still need a healthy diet etc. Just hoping there are some smaller ones out there!

If you are in Scotland the healthy start vitamins are tiny so even though I’m not eligible I asked my Health visitor for some of them and she got them for me.

I am currently EBF a 4 month old and I’ve never taken any breastfeeding specific vitamins, you should be getting all you need from your diet. I just finished my pack of pregnacare after she was born then once they ran out didn’t bother with any specific vitamins, if you’re tolerating the liquid pregnacare, could you just keep taking that? I can’t think of anything specific in the breastfeeding vitamins that would make a difference to breastfeeding if you’re eating a balanced diet, I think things like that are a bit of a marketing con🤷🏼‍♀️
