Found out I'm pregnant but scared I'll miscarry

Good afternoon. Basically yesterday morning I found out I'm nearly 4 weeks pregnant. I am due on on tuesday and even though I'm pregnant I'm petrified I'll still come on. I've been getting light cramps this morning too. I'm trying not to worry but I suffer with anxiety and this baby is something I've wanted for over 9 years. Xx

I had light cramps (assume stretching pains) from 4 weeks until 14! I’m 16 now and they seem to have stopped, another worry, but midwife heard heartbeat at my appointment which put my mind at rest. Try and stay calm, easier said than done, and I doubt it ever goes away! I know my mum still worries about me now and I’m 35! Haha

Thank you so much for your reply. Xxx

I also had cramps just before I was due to come on, so much so that I was convinced I wasn't pregnant that month! I was due on on the Monday and it took until Friday for me to do a test, and I would say that the cramps were quite bad and period like for a good couple of weeks. Only now 7+6 and I only get them mildly on the odd occasion. Try not to worry 😊 xx

Try not to panic. I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks, I experienced cramping and spotting at 4 weeks +2 and at 8 weeks+4. I had a lot of cramping/stretching pain up to 10 weeks but I’m 14 weeks +2 pregnant. On my scans everything has looked great so far...

Hello lovely! Also recently found out I’m pregnant, AF due on Tuesday as well! Think this puts our due date approx 19th January? I’m also petrified I’ll miscarry, lines are similar today from yesterday which is enough to make me sick with worry. Crossing fingers for you, it must likely will be okay!!

Lottiepxx · 10/05/2020 16:25

Hopingfor2021: yes that's right 19th January is my due date. Congratulations. I'm hoping it just jitters because it's so early. I hope it all works out for us xx

Same! I've known for four days and it feels like a lifetime. I'm convinced something is going to go wrong and am constantly stressing over my line progression, heart rate, lack of symptoms etc. I have no idea how people get through 2 months of this! I don't know if it's worse because with lockdown there are so few distractions, or because it's taken me so long to get here. Trying to stay calm but it's easier said than done!

Hopingfor2021 · 10/05/2020 18:03

@MissHoney85 I also found out 4 days ago. How many dpo are you now?

@Lottiepxx it’s nerve wracking isn’t it. I think once it’s post AF day I’ll be slightly calmer. Although I know then I’ll just focus on getting to a scan at 6 weeks!! It’s so silly to test early as it just prolongs the agony, but equally I want to know early so I can adjust my lifestyle etc.

Really crossing fingers and toes for all of you with recent BFPs x

MissHoney85 · 10/05/2020 18:16

@Hopingfor21 I'm 16dpo now. Time is going so slowly! I'm thinking of getting a private early scan if I make it that far too, not sure I can wait until 12 weeks.

Lottiepxx · 10/05/2020 18:34

Funny enough I have just told my husband I'm going to have an early scan from 6 weeks, so in 2 weeks time. Just to give me some reassurance really. Also ringing the midwife tomorrow to hopefully feel a little more secure. Xxx

@Lottiepxx I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry to much about light cramping. It's quite normal in early pregnancy. In regards to early scan at 6 weeks, it might be too early to see a heartbeat, being even couple of days off makes all the difference in early days. You will just worry yourself out, try and hold out till 8 weeks if you can.

Lb603 · 10/05/2020 20:39

Hello! Can I join in, I've just found out too, congratulations everyone Grin my due date would be the 16th of Jan. This will be my first, for the scans, how do you get an early one? Is it 12 weeks you get one from the NHS? I'm going to call the maternity unit tomorrow, that's all my Dr has said so far.. Just gave me the number and asked me to ring them instead.
