Miscarriage or threatened miscarriage? 😟

I'm 6w 2d pregnant today and I've had a history of early losses (ectopic, very early miscarriage and a missed miscarriage), and after a normal 2 weeks since I found out, yesterday I started bleeding 😟 not as heavy as a period but definitely fresh red blood. I also started having cramping. I went to the EPU (due to my history) and I had an examination which said my cervix was slightly open. She said I'm either having a miscarriage, ectopic or a threatened miscarriage. I'm going back for a scan on Monday

Today I woke up and my pain was gone, other than the odd very minor niggle, I've still got a bit of bleeding but seems like it's blood that was still up there. Is this a good sign? I'm still having some pregnancy symptoms too.

I'm expecting to go there on Monday and there be no heartbeat, or I'm expecting to start miscarrying properly soon, but I'm clinging on to any hope at the moment. Has anyone been through this with a positive outcome?

Honestly, it’s impossible to say for sure until you have a scan. I had a ‘threatened miscarriage’ at 12 weeks, never had any pain or cramping but haemorrhaged a lot of blood very quickly. When I was examined my cervix was closed and a scan the next day revealed baby was fine. They called it a subchorionic haemorrhage.

Wishing you luck for your scan

Good luck today!

Thanks both 😊 just had a scan and unfortunately they can't see anything, not even a sac 😟 they're checking to see if my HCG is going down, if it is I've likely miscarried, but if it's going up it may be ectopic. Praying it's going down now to be honest 😟

So sorry for your loss @Chris2315. Must have been a tough day, hope you’re okay and have someone looking after you.
