Faint line on different test pls help!

Hi everyone i know this may sound stupid but me and my partner are trying to concive I'm 5 days late for my period so i thought i would do a test but the negative line is very dominant and the postive line is very very faint could this be a false reading? I'm 39 and worried it may be to late for me to concive

Hi OP, generally, if the line comes up within the correct time frame and has colour to it then it's a BFP, no matter how faint.
Do you have a picture?

There are lots of ladies on here pregnant in their 40's so it's not too late. I'm 37 and pregnant with my first.

2 lines = pregnant, congratulations :)
Do another in a couple of days if you want to double check.
