Is it normal that there seems to be no stock for newborn or up to 3months? HM, Mammas Papas, Next even MnS seems to have no sizes. Just wonder will this change when shops will open? Is it normal that most of items are out of stock? Have people stocked up who are not due for months and it could be the reason? We never bough baby clothes before so not sure is it normal that 80% of items doesn't have sizes

Definitely people panic buying while shops are shut. I found the same which is a first, normally can get things easily xx

Keep checking as they've come in and out of stock a few times over the last few weeks.
I looked one day and couldn't find a thing, a week later M&S and H&M had loads.

Asda has plenty, also try ebay if you're due soon and in desperate need. Dh got some in tesco last weekend.

heroineinahalfshell · 08/05/2020 09:57

After a few weeks of finding the same, this week I've been able to order some newborn sleepsuits & vests from Next, and DH picked up one newborn and two 0-3 sleepsuits at Sainsbo during the weekly shop.

We've had to buy stuff from the supermarkets (tesco and asda) I'm due in 8 weeks but we dont know the sex so havent brought loads, hopefully can buy some stuff in shops by then 🤞

Yeah, I found this too! I really wanted packs of plain white babygrows but they were about of stock everywhere when I looked, even at Asda. Ended up buying a few plain blue packs (for a girl! Shock) just to ensure we've got enough.

Have a look on your local Facebook marketplace, eBay, or I bought a great bundle off Instagram this week (@babybundleuk).

I was going to say George at ASDA too.

I've bought quite a lot from there during lockdown (I'm over 39 weeks so not just panic buying!). Delivery has been good & fairly quick.

PP has provided a link for unisex clothing but I find more stuff shows up if you look under baby boy, baby girl & multipack sections individually.

Sometimes stuff shows up as out of stock in the smaller sizes but within a day or two is restocked & they get all sizes in.

I just add stuff to my saved list & keep checking back. Stuff comes back into stock 9 times out of 10.

KnobwithaK · 08/05/2020 10:17

Just checked the Asda blue ones and they're now sold out too Confused

MarshmallowsOnToast · 08/05/2020 10:20

They will come back soon, honestly!

I went to M&S food hall last night, and the arrows had us waking through the entire shop to get there, and people were having a quick look at clothes as they went. The children's clothes were very accessible and they even had 25% off. I would see if your partner or friend can get to one x

TiptopJ · 08/05/2020 10:49

When did you last look? I was on next yesterday and they have quite a few baby sizes (had to filter results and scroll right down to the bottom to find newborn and 0-3) asda have some and so do john lewis and asda and theres a few neutral clothes on m&co website
