Hello.
I want to ask you if it's normal to gain weight literally every day?? And I am not talking about 1 or 2 grams, but quiet a lot..

On Monday I had 84.3kg. now, Friday I have 86.7kg.. so almost 2 kgs in 5 days... 😢

Also, I am 23weeks now amd I have put on 15 kg.. I am trying to eat as much healthy as possible, drinking 3 or more litres of water per day. I do not exercise as much as I used to, but I dont think it would be the main problem.

I posted a similar question the other day, and got some good advice - could be water retention?

If your eating well I wouldn't worry too much, if your still concerned about hen you next see your midwife I would definitely just mention it to her x

That’s how my weight was . I suspect a lot of the the sudden weight gain is water retention although baby does go through growth spurts at certain times as well .

That’s pretty rapid - as PP has said it’s most likely water retention if you’re eating sensibly, but it is worth mentioning to your midwife to see if you need your blood pressure and urine checked, as sudden water retention can be a sign of pre eclampsia. Are your hands/feet swollen? Do you have a headache or blurred vision? If so, call your Antenatal unit today.

Saying that, I gained all of my weight so far during weeks 16-22 and now (week 28) I appear to have stopped gaining weight again despite a growing bump, so it may just be a growth spurt! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Nelbert19:
No I am not swollen at all.. just the scale shows ugly numbers...

but I will check with my midwife..
