Bleeding at 10 weeks

Hi ladies,

I’m so stressed and worried right now. Bang on 10 weeks today (by my calculations) this morning when I went to the toilet when I wiped I noticed quite a bit of watery red blood, it’s still there now when I wipe and not stopping. No cramps etc but awful sickness I’ve had for the last month did stop 4 days ago all of a sudden and now can’t help but think the worst :-( do I ring 101, early pregnancy unit (not sure they will even be open with it being bank hol) or go to a&e.

Any advice or anyone had anything similar and it’s turned out ok? Xx

Not happened to me at that point but I did bleed a bit at about 6 weeks and it just stopped on it’s own, wasn’t very much at all though. I’d probably just keep a eye on it today and see how it goes, bleeding during pregnancy isn’t that uncommon but if it gets very heavy/clots then probably best to ring EPU. 🤞 it stopped soon for you!

I think they usually say a bleed can be normal if no cramping? Symptoms also go around 12 weeks they say so maybe why sickness has gone. Give them a call if you are worried it will help put your mind at ease if nothing to worry about let us know how you get on xxx

I was told by my midwife friend to always call about a bleed, midwife if you have one, or gp. They'll then decide if you need to be scanned or seen. I had a bleed at 14 weeks with my first and it all worked out so it doesn't necessarily mean the worst. Call for peace of mind.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I’ve had some cramping now so really panicking :-( rang epu, 111 and my gp with no joy just telling me to ring other places etc. I’ve just booked a private scan for this afternoon 3.35pm, just can’t face waiting all weekend not knowing and I’m also working over the weekend :-( will update you all later xx

Hi everyone. Scan done, and it’s good news. Everything looks fine and baby has a good heartbeat! So relieved after spending all day thinking the worse. Sonography was lovely and said unexplained bleeding can be common. Thanks again for your messages

This is great news so happy for you, you can relax now!! I am 5 weeks 2 days today have an early scan in 2 and half weeks. So will be 7 weeks 5 days cant wait 😊 xxx

Aww Thank you Lauren, it’s such a relief when you see them on the scan. I forgot how tough the first trimester can be I’m such a worrier! Bet your so excited for your scan! Let me know how it goes :-) xxx

I am 10 week pragnent about 4 days bleeding start but not much today doctor said no heartbeat any second openion?

Hi dear 6 week pragnent heartbeat deducted by internal scan pragnent with simple cyst after one day of scan brown spotting start when I wipe it’s normal plz help
