Maternity/nursing pyjamas / nighties

I am really struggling to find a robust pyjama top or nightie that is specifically maternity/nursing.

I absolutely love the m and s secret support pyjama tops, have worn them for years pre-pregnancy and then just been going up a couple of sizes during the pregnancy. They are really comfortable but supportive, with thick straps.

But I am now 30 weeks and needing to find a maternity/nursing top or nightie for the hospital and beyond. But I cant find anything that gives me anywhere near the support the m and s ones do, they all seem really flimsy, with thin little straps. I am already at DD, and expecting that to go up closer to the due date/nursing, so support is really important to me.

Has anyone found the perfect PJ top or nightie they can recommend?!

In terms of support for boobs I would firstly recommend that you check your size using Boob or Bust.

Mine are huge to start with and get bigger during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so I wear a soft sleep bra under normal PJs. I wear Kindred Bravely bras that I got from Amazon although I tried to buy a new one the other day and there weren't any, so maybe they are not selling in UK atm (US brand). Plenty of other options though for soft sleep bras.

As for actual nightwear, I recently started a thread asking the same question and got some helpful recommendations:

I've found that there is very little in stock which has been frustrating, but ASOS and Dorothy Perkins seem to have a few decent options.

PS Another option is to wear a nursing vest (and if you get cold shoulders and arms you could wear an open nightshirt or soft cardie). My recommendation is Hot Milk as they have space and support for big boobs, they do B-E and F-H versions. Full price is quite expensive but they have a few in the sale including a blue one for £16:

Frugi and JoJo Maman have specific nursing PJs/nighties.

I have an ample bosom (FF even before pregnancy), I have a Frugi one. The shoulder straps are quite thick, and there's a hook inside to change the 'band' size as well. It's maternity as well. I've attached a photo of the inside, so you can see the support, and you might just see the band adjustor on the left .

Frugi has nothing on their website atm.

I used to wear a soft sleep bra type thing under a normal vest top for sleeping in, or often just the sleep bra on it's own for those post birth night sweats.

This is really helpful thanks guys! I have found a maternity bra from Hotmilk that I practically live in these days, but had no idea they did night wear as well, will definitely check them out. The idea of wearing a sleep nursing bra under something is a really good idea too, why didnt I think of this?!

Was complaining to my husband last night and bless him, he has decided he can help find me something. Woken up to a load of links, will be interesting to see what he thinks makes a good nursing PJ top! Grin
