Strange post really - but I thought I'd start a thread just in case.
Last week I had a 7-week intravaginal ultrasound. I've had pregnancy symptoms - all the usual suspects - with absolutely nothing abnormal. Anyway, I was diagnosed with a SCH (the woman was so bloody nonchalant when she told me), which was bigger than the tiny tiny baby, and was told my body was rejecting the pregnancy. I was absolutely devastated.
I did the usual Dr Google search and found that bedrest is disputed but at this point I would give anything a go. What I really wanted was someone 'live' who was going through the same thing or had come out the other side, but could only find threads from years and years ago about SCHs, so I thought I'd post here in case anyone with a December baby or there abouts is going through the same thing.
AND the reason I'm posting is to give hope! After one week (ONE WEEK ONLY!) of enforced bedrest, literally NO STRESS (not even stressful TV, it's been a dull week here) and lots of progesterone, I found out today that the bleed has reduced by 75% and the baby is unaffected and now bigger than they should be! Now I know it will be different for everyone, but I just wanted to post this here in case someone needed to read this, to see that it can and will likely get better - just give your body a chance to adapt to your pregnancy. It definitely would've helped me!
Ciao!
