I manage a team of 10, I was off I’ll for a few weeks with stress due to two nasty staff members that my manager didn’t do anything about till I was off with work related stress.
I did my monthly stress assessment following being back and I said I was now happy at work and feeling less stress to then be told on the back of this they are happy I’m no longer feeling stressed and that they want to be put onto an improvement to plan (PIP) which are usually used to manage back people out due to my communication up till I leave.
When I say communication I’ve been told I’m too friendly and not clear at times, which when I have given clear instructions I’m then told I’m too rude, so I can’t actually win!
Being told this has now added stress and I am concerned as I lost a baby last year that all this added stress and pressure won’t be healthy.
Is there anything anyone can think of that would help my situation?
Should I do another stress assessment and say how this has had an impact on me?
