Hospital bag essentials - what do I need?

Hey everyone,

I’m only 26 weeks but considering slowly gathering bits and bobs I’ll need for my hospital bag so that i can have it ready well in advance (I have anxiety and feel better if I’m organised, especially with everything going on at the minute) FTM so no idea what I need!

What type of bag did you take? And what are the essentials I will need? Totally clueless, I already have a few bits like clothes but no idea how many or what sizes to pack.

Thank you everyone 💕

congratulations! this list is really helpful and (I think) covers everything. The only thing I would say is that I don't think you need the glucose tablets, and I would bring maternity pads instead of sanitary towels x

I took 2 bags. One with stuff for the baby and one with stuff for me. I also found face wipes essential. It was so hot in the hospital (I gave birth in November) and it was nice to be able to wipe my face easily and cool down without having to leave the bed.

I took a small wheelie case (carry on airplane size) as it was so much easier than riffling though a bag.
